Practicing dental surgeon, published author, academic researcher, professor and lecturer; Dr. Pankaj Singh is a dentist of many talents. Passionately dedicated to improving the lives of his patients as a clinician, Dr. Singh is also committed to serving his professional community through research and innovations that are pushing the fields of – Dental/Oral Implantology and Implant Dentistry – Tissue Engineering – Dental Sleep Medicine forward to new and unexpected frontiers. Serving as clinical director of Arch Dental Associates offices in New York since 1995, Dr. Singh has also held a number of fellowships at institutions such as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Biochemistry from SUNY at Stony Brook and Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from New York University College of Dentistry. He completed his residency in Dental and Oral Surgery and fellowship in Oral and Dental Implantology at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. His postgraduate studies in advanced IV anesthesia were completed at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Montefiore Hospital Medical Center, New York City. Recognized as an authority in the field, Dr. Singh lectures nationally and internationally and is one of less than 100 dentists worldwide who are triple boarded and diplomats of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, where he also served as board examiner. He has held faculty and attending faculty positions at institutions such as – NYU College of Dentistry – North Shore University Hospital – American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s Postgraduate Maxi Course. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and currently serves as an editor of the Academy’s Research Publication “Journal of Oral Implantology” and serves on the board or several other publications including the worlds largest circulating monthly newsletter “Dental and Implant Tribune”. Dr. Singh has been featured on NBC Nightly News, profiled by Mercedes Benz as their “Star Dentist,” and was recognized for his contributions to his profession and community when he appeared on the cover of “Biz India,” the prestigious international business publication. Dr. Singh has also held advisory and editorial positions on numerous boards and publications including Heartland Dental, Sirona Dental, Meisinger USA, Implant Tribune, the Journal of Oral Implantology, and Doctor Radio on Sirius XM. Dr. Singh has published numerous original research articles, reports, has contributed to several textbooks and is the author of the bestseller textbook “Atlas of Oral Implantology – 3rd edition” by Mosby/Elsevier. He is the inventor of the minimally invasive guided implant system “SINGH-GPS” used worldwide for dental implant and autogenous tissue harvesting surgery and has spend the last 15 years researching the use of Oral Appliances and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Singh’s professional interests include – Dental/Oral Implantology, Implant Dentistry – Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry and non-surgical facial enhancement – Sedation Dentistry – TMD, jaw and atypical facial pain as well as – Dental Sleep Medicine. He is dedicated to researching new avenues for sleep apnea treatment both in dentistry and sleep medicine and is a passionate advocate for developments in Dental Sleep Science. It is among his professional goals to improve the lives of those who struggle with sleep apnea and educate dentists on their role in a team approach to treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. Never satisfied with the status quo, Dr. Singh is in the process of patenting new technologies that will allow dentists to treat patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea more effectively than the current best practice methodology available to the profession. In addition to his status as an accomplished dental surgeon, Dr. Singh’s passion for healthcare at all levels extends into his involvements that fall outside the traditional arenas of his profession. A noted advocate of giving back to the community, Dr Singh volunteers as a fire-medic in his home town. He is also a USTA ranked tennis player and loves to spend time with his wife Monica Bajaj Singh and two children Meena and Shiv. The Medical School and Hospital has assigned the title of “Expert Faculty” at the prestigious New York Head & Neck Institute – The Center for Facial Reconstruction to Dr. Singh.
